Spring is just around the corner and what better way to welcome the new season than with something new? DL1961 have given their website a make over, it’s fresh, minimal and clean and they have also introduced a brand new fit! It’s called Florence and they are calling it their ‘InstaSculpt Denim’.
DL1961 is always known for inventing new styles which are based around fit, fabric and design, so I’m definitely intrigued by this new technology! InstaSculpt Denim is designed to instantly micro sculpt your legs, butt and mid-section with their revolutionary 4-way stretch fabric.
The new Florence fit also features a higher rise of 9″, a leg opening of 10.5″ and an inseam of 30″, so it looks like it will make a really flattering higher rise skinny jean. What do you think of the new Florence fit and InstaSculpt technology? If you head over to the new DL1961 website, you can check out more of the Spring 2014 styles which have just been added.
Speaking of their new Spring collection though, you can check out the brand new campaign which just launched below! It was shot on the beaches surrounding New York City by fashion photographer, Boo George, and features models Josephine Skriver and Roch Barbot. It highlights the easy, light summer feel the Spring/Summer collection is all about. The campaign really embodies the long, lazy days of New York summer, spent on the beaches of Montauk and the rooftops of New York City.
“As a brand that calls New York home, we love to capture the lifestyle and essence of those who wear DL1961 in their everyday lives – including summertime when denim is more uncommon,” said Sarah Ahmed, DL1961’s Creative Director. “For Spring/Summer the collection embodies the effortless spirit and simplicity of summer through our innovative technologies that keep you cool and comfortable.”
Throughout the new SS14 campaign they feature some amazing fashion jeans for women, including the Angel eyelet skinny jean, the Emma legging fit in new camouflage and floral prints, their Angie cargo jean with key pocket placement for slimming effects and the Bardot ultra high-rise crop with a scalloped hem which is available in multiple washes. DL1961 has also released some new shorts for the season, introducing the roll-up Karlie boyfriend short and the scalloped Casey dolphin short. The brand has also continued its ready-to-wear collection with a wide range of quilted, pleated denim tanks, a selection of denim jackets and chambray dresses.
For the guys, DL1961 introduced a Performance Denim, advancing the four-way stretch for added comfort, style and 360 degree movement for those men with a more active lifestyle. These key styles include the Russell slim straight leg jean, the Mason slouchy slim jean and the Nick slim fit jean, all of which are available in a variety of washes. I loved the collection of chambray shirts for men too, they look really easy and comfortable. So, what do you think of their new campaign too?
