Distressed jeans will never go out of style and as of now, wearing them year-round is the thing to do. One of my favorites would have to be the Current/Elliott Stiletto in Black Shredded. The slightly washed black was given more interest with shreds that add just enough to keep them from feeling ordinary and feeling too much. Check out the three ways I styled them below.
When it comes to comfort without looking like you just rolled out of bed, adding a cardigan is the best thing to pair with your jeans. I found the color of this one from Topshop to work really well with the wash of the jeans. To compliment the sweater even more, I chose a bag from Chloe that is in the same color scheme. I then kept everything else simple with a pair of Chucks and a muscle shirt from Current/Elliott.
Depending on your height, these jeans will be either be on the more cropped side or hit just below the ankle. This makes them pretty much perfect to pair with some slip on sneakers for anyone. As this look is pretty much monochromatic (with the grey t shirt by T by Wang and accessories by American Apparel and Alexander Wang), I decided to add some life with some leopard print with the Schutz sneakers. Leopard sneakers are just the perfect way to update an all black look…or one that is mostly.
Dressing up these jeans slightly is not hard either, when you think in a Paris Vogue editor sense. The ladies that run the mag love Current/Elliott and have been seen in them many times, so who else to get inspired by than them? Other than skinny jeans, their staples include a clean sweater like this one by Equipment and some wrap sandals like these by Isabel Marant. Then there are the accessories. As it is still Winter, a scarf like this Marc by Marc one is necessary and another staple, a classic belt like this Marant to finish it all off.
