New Years Eve Outfit Ideas

Chanelle’s Look

It’s that time of year where everyone is getting ready for New Years Eve and looking forward to ringing in 2014! We thought we would each style an outfit which can be worn for the night, 2 of them feature ladies jeans, 1 is a non denim look and the other is a men’s look with denim. Happy New Year everyone!

Every New Year’s Eve I like to wear something sparkly because it’s only necessary on such a glamorous holiday. This year I’ve been really into matching sets and thought it was appropriate to sum up my year in one outfit consisting of a matching set (although this one isn’t exactly matching, it pairs perfectly). I picked gold accents and a fun little pair of leather gloves to really dress it up and give it some style. They’ll look good with or with out the jacket, making them perfect for any place I may end up. It’s been great being a contributor to Denim Blog for another year and thanks for reading all the posts I put out there. I hope everyone has a healthy and prosperous 2014! Cheers!

Jennifer’s Look

For my New Year’s Eve outfit, I kept it a bit more casual and styled an outfit that would be perfect for a relaxed dinner party. For my jeans, I chose these Paige Vergudo Sequin skinny jeans because I did want a bit of sparkle. To keep the look casual, I paired them with this J Crew top, since I love how it says “Cheers” in different languages. I layered it under this black Theory blazer for warmth. I accessorized with silver pointy flats from Zara, a studded black clutch from Valentino and black earrings from Sparkling Sage.

Lorna’s Look

My weekend going out look is a bit of casual mixed with glam. I chose a pair of AG metallic leggings as I think metallic silver is great for celebrating the holidays, but I paired them with a 3.1 Philip Lim for Target Pow sweater to give it a bit of ease. I threw on a black blazer to add some structure to the look and then some iridescent metallic pumps to liven it up. I then chose a grey and blue box clutch to keep with the colour theme and added a black ring, a silver ring and a blue glittery ring, as well as some silver snowflake earrings and a Michael Kors silver watch. This outfit is quite over the top, with a lot of things going on, but I think it might be quite quirky! I like wearing sweaters under jackets a lot of the time, I need the extra warmth over here in England.

Jonathan’s Look

A suited look is a go to for many men on New Years, but I wanted to do my take on it. I used a pair of jeans by Big Star as my choice of denim, then added a shirt by Comme Des Garçons. To keep the all black look going, I added shoes by ACNE and a tie by Dolce and Gabbana. Then to add a bit of edge, a leather jacket by BLK DNM to finish off the look. How many of you are looking to ring in the New Year with a tougher vibe this time around?
