Best Denim To Wear To Holiday Parties

Holiday parties are in full swing at the moment so I thought it would be a good idea to share with you some great jeans and what to wear them with. I’ve included 12 pairs of jeans here, each of which I have given an outfit suggestion for and these range from classics such as grey and black to metallics, coated and printed. I have even included some boyfriend jeans for some more casual options. I know a lot of people favour sequins, glitter and dresses this time of year, however so many of us would prefer to wear our jeans! Happy Holidays everyone!

Monochrome Classics

J Brand | DL1961 | James Jeans

First up I have gone with the classic grey and black jeans. Pretty much everyone owns a pair of black jeans and grey is an amazingly versatile option too. These will be perfect for those dressed up and posh parties that you plan on attending and don’t want to wear a dress to. You literally can’t go wrong with these three! The first J Brand Nicola’s in grey are stunning! I love the moto detailing around the knees! The second coated black DL1961 jeans are much better than a regular black denim as they add a bit of extra sparkle, while the third James Jeans in a dark grey are a great mix of both shades!

Here are 3 looks to go with the jeans above. I have kept everything monochrome with the same colour scheme, so it’s not too over the top and still looks glam. I’ve added these amazing silver shoes and sequin clutch to the white blazer to go with the first pair of jeans, I think the white and grey with silver thrown in is so classy! To keep things dark and effective, I paired the black jeans with a black blazer and heels and then for the dark grey jeans, I went with a black and white blazer and some black heels. I think the best thing about these three looks though is you can mix and match any of these pieces with any of those jeans! The clutch will go with all of them to liven things up a little bit and put you in that holiday spirit.

Metallic & Coated

J Brand | Citizens of Humanity | Siwy

Metallic jeans are always a winner this time of year. They ooze festivity with their likeness to decorations, so why not decorate your legs with them? Silver or gold are the most versatile options, but you can get red, navy, bronze and more! If metallic isn’t your thing, then coated red jeans are something you can’t go wrong with either! Red is a festive colour, but in a deeper hue like burgundy, it’s much more wearable. Leather jeans like those Siwy jeans are another amazing option. They are faux and designed to look and feel exactly like real leather and I think they managed that perfectly! This would really glam up your look.

Here are another 3 outfit options to wear the jeans with. Black peplum and lace would look amazing against the silver metallic jeans, finished with a silver ring for an added touch. The leopard print shirt and black with gold detail shoes would suit the burgundy coated jeans perfectly, while the red heart print shirt and black boots would look just as effective with the black leather style jeans. I’ve thrown in a burgundy clutch and gold snowflake ring as well, to go with either of those last 2 looks.

Printed Denim

James Jeans | Genetic Denim | 7 For All Mankind

Printed denim is always a ways to liven up your look and be party ready! The first pair would look stunning for New Year’s Eve as they show so many colours in a metallic way. You would make a statement wearing these! If you prefer something more subtle though, choose a blue icy floral print or a silvery grey aztec print. These both have a winter colour palette and are good for this time of year.

These 3 different outfit options are perfect for these printed jeans. The first pair would look so pretty with the burgundy shirt and black with silver ankle boots, I love this combination so much! You would catch the attention of everyone! To dress up the blue floral jeans, why not wear a bright cobalt blue shirt, some metallic blue heels and blue jewellery? This would be so fun! If you want to make things even more festive though, pairing the aztec silver jeans with a woodland print shirt, glitter silver heels and a snowflake necklace would be perfect! I love all 3 of these!

Comfortable Boyfriend Jeans

Sass & Bide | R13 | Rag & Bone

Finally on to something comfortable! All of the outfits above are mainly for the holiday parties, however that doesn’t always involve going out. Perhaps you might be having a little family get together and just want something comfortable for around the home, but still festive and fun! The first pair of jeans are a skinnier take on the boyfriend trend with some distressing, so if you don’t like them baggy, these are a great choice. The second pair are the famous cross over jeans from R13 which are unique and incredibly comfortable due to the dropped crotch, while the third jeans are the ultimate classic boyfriend. A baggy fit with a light wash and great distressing.

Here are the last 3 outfits to go with the jeans above. For the first look, I wanted to make something adorable and sweet, so I went with a dainty little penguin Christmas sweater, some red lace up flats and a neutral watch. I think this would be so nice for a family get together! For the cross over jeans, I went with a festive Christmas pudding sweater, some tartan mixed flats and a black watch. I think this look is more mature as I kept to a darker colour scheme, but it’s still fun! Finally, for the third look, I went with a night time woods print blouse, which is oversized for comfort, and some glittery flats with a silver ring. This is a more glam way of wearing boyfriend jeans, so I think it would work well for an at home party!
