3 Ways To Wear The Citizens of Humanity Racer in Black Diamond

The Citizens of Humanity Avedon in Axel would have to be one of my favorite black jeans that I have ever found when it comes to solid black. They are all around black with a lining of the same shade (harder to find than you think), that allows you to cuff without any cutoff. So when they released their Racer in Black Diamond, which are a lower rise with a leg opening that is just a tad larger, my attention was instantly grabbed and I decided to style them three ways for this week.

This look here is something that is a staple look for me when the temperature cools down. A parka should be a staple for everyone, just like a great pair of black jeans, and this River Island one will pretty much make any outfit. Sometimes a parka just won’t help you beat the chill, so a sweater underneath can be necessary. This one by Tothem adds that extra warmth with the fleece lining while adding some interesting texture with its neoprene shell. Then to finish it all off, a pair of Timberland boots and some Oliver Peoples sunglasses.

Layers at different lengths is one of my favorite aesthetics. Meaning longer sweaters under shorter jackets. This Rodarte jacket is on a another level and I couldn’t think of any other that would work better for this look here. For the layering underneath, I chose a sweater from Paul Smith Red Ear and to keep the all black theme going, a t shirt by Friend or Foe. Then to keep the rocker vibe going, a pair of Balenciaga Chelsea boots.

Though all these looks are all pretty androgynous, I wanted to do something that was more masculine than thee others. I chose a sweater by Theory 38 to be layered under a jacket by R13. But to keep it feminine, in some sorts, without taking it too far, the Isabel Marant sneakers were my choice of footwear. They have a skate feel while still having a delicate look. Then to top it all off, a beanie from Topshop, because I really cannot do without a beanie.
