3 Ways to Wear the R13 Leather Chaps

The R13 Chaps are definitely a standout piece. Many have thought, along with myself, that they are not a versatile pair. As I paid more attention to them, I started to notice how versatile they actually are and started to find them one of the best designed pairs out. Whether you choose a more feminine look or something more casual, I put together three different looks that will definitely change your perspective of this style.

When looking at these jeans recently, I have been thinking that they have a very “lounging on the couch” vibe. I find that they work really well with slouchy knits like this one here from Zara. Since this is a look that is a stay in look, I chose not to pair them with shoes, but with some printed socks by Missoni and then added a belt by Shipley Halmos to dress the look up a bit with a half tuck. I then finished everything off with a book by Grace Coddington.

I also find plaid to be very good friends with these jeans. Whether it be a shirt or this scarf here, the combination of the leather with the denim works in harmony with the print. I decided to keep the other pieces classic, like this duffel jacket from Topshop, t shirt by Paper Denim & Cloth and ankle boots by Alexander Wang. I can see this being a preferred way to wear these jeans for many ladies.

For the last look, I wanted to go for something that is clean and simple, yet still feminine. I chose to do a layered look by pairing a Rick Owens tank with a long sleeve tee by T by Alexander Wang. The two different lengths and uneven hem helps add some dimension to the outfit since they are of the same color. I then chose the Tacy boots and Reece scarf by Isabel Marant to add even more texture to the look.
