I have always wanted to know how FRAME would do the motorcycle trend. They are a brand that have fit down perfectly, so it was only a matter of the details in my opinion. They did nothing but surprise me with their Le Luxe Skinny Biker. When it came to styling them, I had three women in mind; Cara Delevingne, Kate Moss, and Halle Berry. Each love themselves a motorcycle jean and have worn them each in their own way without taking away the edgy appeal of them. See the looks that were inspired by these three ladies below.
As we all know, Cara loves her street wear pieces with a mix of a late ’80s and ’90s feel to it. Her staples are usually a bomber jacket, a slinky shirt or tank with some bulky boots or sneakers. Then to finish it off she usually opts for a backpack instead of the usual handbag. With Cara, her jackets are always just as much of a statement as her jeans, so there was no doubt that I wanted to pair these jeans with a Scotch&Soda jacket. I then kept everything else monochromatic and paired it with a camisole by Topshop, then finished it off with a backpack and boots from Saint Laurent.
This is the Kate Moss look that is on her actual casual day off when you can tell she really doesn’t care, but still looks as cool as she always does. She usually opts for these exact boots by Balenciaga most of those days and pairs them with timeless cold weather staples like this T by Alexander Wang t shirt and a parka by Topshop. Then on those days she is usually not caught with her everyday Saint Laurent Duffle, but actually a wallet like this one by Balenciaga to run some quick errands or walk her dog.
Halle Berry was a surprising choice, but there was no other one to complete the triumvir of motorcycle jean lovers. She has been caught in countless pairs over the years and I am sure that since giving birth we will start seeing her wear the style again as it is in full abundance this season. Halle usually keeps it simple when it comes to styling her jeans by often choosing knits and a silky shirt to pair along with her denim. To get that Halle look, I paired the jeans with a sweater by Maje, a t shirt by Rick Owens, boots by Toga, and a bag by Givenchy. Now to take her look a bit further, add on a pair of her signature aviators and a cool hat.
