3 Ways to Wear the Rag & Bone Skinny in Oil Stain

There have been very few blue jeans this season that have been attention grabbing in my opinion. Most have stuck to clean singular colors, which have nothing wrong with them, just lacking a component to make them stand out. Strange coming from the person that loves his black denim. One pair that definitely does and will probably always have that luster is the Oil Stain Skinny by Rag & Bone. The style still has that classic versatile appeal without sacrificing any interesting details, which is why I chose to style them in three different classic ways for this post.

Blue, white and black is probably my most go-to color combination whenever I wear blue jeans. It always feels fresh each and every time and still looks crisp. I kept everything simple with a t shirt by R13, a bag by Proenza Schouler and boots by Isabel Marant. I then wanted to add some more texture to the look and print to keep it from looking plain with a scarf by Zara.

Even though this look has heeled boots by Saint Laurent, I still find it to be more casual than the look above. It is casual in a sort of Kate Moss sense of way. I wanted a sweater that wasn’t just the average sweater and this Topshop one fits the bill. It has a cool cow/ink blot print with zippers that help it look more interesting than an average one. Then to keep the look easy (I really didn’t see this as a look that you could add a bag to) I decided to just keep it simple with an iPhone case by Lanvin. I then finished the outfit off with a hat by Eugenia Kim. Give the jeans a cuff and this look will be ready.

It is that moment during the autumn season in which you still cannot be bothered with a coat. So I went for a layered look with many textures. I chose a striped t shirt by R13 to wear over a long sleeve shirt by T by Alexander and then some slip-on sneakers by Marc by Marc Jacobs. The reason for adding glasses to a look was not aesthetic purposes. As this is a look that I wear often and I am visually impaired, I decided to make it a bit more personal and add these by Elizabeth and James. But if thick framed glasses aren’t your thing, a pair of classic wayfarers will work just as well with this outfit.

So, whether you like to make your blue jeans classic or dress them up a bit, these are looks that will have you feeling comfortable and confident.
