3 Ways to Wear the Textile Elizabeth and James Cooper Shorts in Olive Camo

As you all may know, I am a huge fan of the Textile Elizabeth and James Cooper Shorts. The details on them are great without taking them overboard; which makes them very versatile and worn for numerous occasions over the Summer. See the three ways I styled them below.

Everyone loves being casual, yet still likes to look put together and not like you just rolled out of bed most of the time. Inspired by staples that most women already have, the pairing of a sweater and sneakers with shorts has to be my favorite combination on any woman. It is understated and clean. I paired the shorts with an IRO sweater, classic The Row x Superga sneakers, then finished it off with accessories by Chloe, Saint Laurent and Elizabeth and James.

Just because these have an exposed crotch zipper, it doesn’t mean that they cannot also be worn in a smart way. Think Miranda Kerr with this look. I paired them together with an Equipment shirt, Repetto flats, and accessorized the look with some Cutler and Gross aviators, a Michael Kors watch and a tote by The Row. When trying to wear something edgy like these shorts in a smart way, balance is the key. A slouchy white button up is the quickest way to do that while still giving you the choice of how casual or put together you want the look by adjusting the sleeves and leaving a few of the buttons undone.

Now there are just those days that will soon approach when it is just impossible to wear anything but a tank with your shorts. You also don’t want to fuss too much with any accessories, but with the staples that you already wear. This is the look. Something that is breezy, but still feeling strong. The shorts are styled with some Anine Bing studded boots, a Topshop tank, a Rag & Bone belt and wallet, then finished off with bracelets by LuvAJ and Hipanema. It’s simple and no fuss.
