As a tradition now, we all like to do an outfit styling for each occasion. We did the same for Halloween, New Years Eve and many more. This time it’s Valentines Day! Each of us have created a look inspired by red jeans for the romantic day. There are 3 women’s looks styled by myself, Chanelle and Jennifer and one guys look styled by Jonathan. Let us know which one you like and what you plan on wearing for Valentines Day!
For my Valentines Day look I wanted to keep the colour scheme burgundy, black and cream, which is one of my favourites. I think it looks really classy and makes an outfit so much easier to dress up.
I chose one of my favourite jeans, the Koral Los Angeles Merlot jeans, and paired them with a Marni bow shirt and a Zipper embellished coat. To add some height to the look, but still keep your feet warm, I chose these KG by Kurt Geiger booties and for the accessories, I went with gold because it adds so much warmth! I chose an Oasis glitter hard clutch, a River Island Angel Wing necklace, Z Designs Love rings and a Kismet by Milka Black Diamond Heart Ring.
I love to dress up for Valentines day, but I also think there is something really cute about a varsity jacket for the big day. It reminds me of young, high school love and is somewhat romantic in an indirect way. The varsity jacket can be masculine so I femmed up the outfit with J Brand jeans, wedge boots (It’s still winter after all), gold rings, and a feminine envelope clutch. The blouse is a beautiful counterpart to the jacket with it’s elegant tie and silhouette. I think this is the perfect, playful date outfit.
I found it hard to find the right shade of red when it came to jeans. So I decided to go full on red with a suit and then pair it with a denim shirt. I think if there is a day to wear this much red, Valentine’s would be appropriate. I chose a Paul Smith wool suit (jacket, pants, and belt) with a Brooks Brother tie clip, Bottega Veneta cufflinks, John Lobb oxfords, and a Saint Laurent tie. Being that this is DenimBlog, I couldn’t leave out the denim. So instead of the classic white shirt, I chose a denim shirt by Brioni. So how many of you will be donning a denim shirt with your suits?
For my Valentine’s Day look, I wanted to choose something a little more casual. I chose these Current/Elliott Rider leggings because I love the black tuxedo stripes. I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit really feminine, so I chose this Alice and Olivia blouse with an embellished Peter Pan neckline. I think the embellished neckline is so pretty that no necklace is needed. For the shoes, I chose these flat velvet loafers from Valentino. I think the velvet fabric is so luxurious and the bow adds a touch of femininity. I added these pink Kate Spade earrings for a touch of color without being too cutesy, a simple gold bracelet from Lucky Brand, and this nude colored studded Valentino clutch.
