I was also recently introduced to a brand called OCJ Apparel, which is a denim company with a twist. The brands jeans are cut and made like other high end denim brands, but with college/university logos and slogans stitched into the pocket. They remind me a lot of varsity jackets to support your school, but you can know show your pride by wearing the logo on your jeans as well.
OCJ Apparel currently has 28 universities across the nation which they can stitch into the jeans. Most of their jeans come in dark blue denim which is named ‘dark indigo’ in either a skinny or a bootcut style. They also have 8 different garment dyes for 8 schools, but will be doubling that amount soon! Next year they will even be coming out with some shorts to add to the collection.
I wasn’t completely sure what to think of this brand when I first heard about it, as here at DenimBlog we are mainly into the premium denim brands, raw denim or just general jeans you can wear everyday, but I thought it might be worth posting about for those of you who are at college or university and want to wear jeans with the logo on to represent your school.
The brand also states that if you don’t see your school on the list, they carry plain jeans without any logos which are called ‘slates’ so I’m sure you can add your own logos to them, or just wear them unbranded if you like the company. All of their jeans are manufactured in Los Angeles, California. You can find out more about the brand at their website here and you can see some of the styles in the gallery below. So, what do you think of these jeans? Will any of you students be buying a pair?
