Affordable Festive Holiday Party Dresses

Since this is the time of year where everyone is attending their festive holiday parties, whether they are work, friend or family orientated, a lot of ladies tend to drift away from denim and opt for a sparkly dress which is bold and statement making. I’ve put together a collection of 7 affordable and 2 more expensive dresses which will be absolutely perfect for the festive season. Of course I didn’t leave denim out entirely though, as the middle dress above is made entirely of it!

Ok, so above from left to right is a Republic Miso Sequin Strapless Dress which is in the sale for only £20, a Kelly Ewing Denim Cocktail Dress With Gold Tie Belt and a Gold Sequin Peplum Dress with Padded Shoulders from Lavish Alice in the sale for £28.

If you are like myself and prefer to wear denim most of the time, then it’s not worth the money shelling out on an expensive dress that you will probably wear two times at the most, that’s why I have really affordable versions here. The Kelly Ewing Denim Dress is the best denim dress I have ever seen, I did a post on her brand a couple of years ago when I came across it, and to date I still think it’s beautiful, it’s expensive though. The purple and gold strapless dress is young, fun and flirty and the gold sequin peplum dress is more flattering, sophisticated and bold.

From left to right above is a Cream and Gold Sequin Cut Out Dress from Own The Runway for only £29.99, an Elise Ryan Sequin Panel Mesh Red Dress and a Topshop V Neck Gold Sequin Dress by Oh My Love for £39.

I love the gold and cream dress as the cut out at the chest can be really flattering and it’s a more girly option, while the red one is really daring and you would definitely stand out when wearing it, I think it’s a confidence boosting dress, and the sequin gold one is just gorgeous! I love the style of it, it’s simple and nicely cut, yet with the gold it’s so dazzling. I can imagine it looking beautiful when worn with the right outfit.

For those of you who prefer less sequins and glitz, I have also included some more classic versions which are lacy and more elegant. From left to right is a Little Mistress Nina One Shoulder Red Dress for £49.95, a John Zack Laze Peplum Dress in Black for £37.95 and a Lipsy Laser Cut Flower Dress for a little more money at £119.95.

I think the red dress is really feminine and will make a statement on its own with the colour, it doesn’t need any glitz and glamour! The peplum lace dress is a classic as it’s black, but the lace gives it that something extra. I think this is a dress than can be worn at anytime of the year as well, while the cream and black floral dress is a little bit more of an expensive option, but if you have a girly style, then I think it would look so cute. It reminds me a lot of a fairytale dress! So what sort of dresses will you be wearing, or have you been wearing, to your holiday parties?
