Jeans For Tall Women
One of my biggest struggles when it comes to jeans is finding a pair that’s long enough. I am 5’11″ and usually wear a 34″ inseam and am always excited when a pair of jeans is too long on me! Luckily for my fellow tall women, a lot of brands are making longer inseams. I’ve compiled a list of some brands and cuts that are 34″ or longer. I’d also love to hear some of your favorite brands or cuts with longer inseams.
Premium Denim
There are so many options when it comes to premium denim. I’ve found that longer inseams are typically offered in straight leg, flares, and boot cut styles since skinny jeans typically hit shorter on the legs. Most of the suggestions below are cuts which have standard sizing with longer inseams, so they should be available both in stores and online, although some brand’s do offer specialty sizing online.
James Jeans: Slim Straight Leg, High Rise Straight, Skinny Boot Leg, High Rise Boot Leg, Ultra Flare, Slim Leg Trouser, and High Rise Flare (34″). Some cuts of the 70s Super Flare are 35″. James also offers some jeans in 18W-26W that have 34-35″ inseams, like the Hunter Z.
Paige: Skyline Skinny jeans in (34″), Skyline Straight (34″), Laguna Boot Cut (35″), Bell Canyon Flare (35″), Laurel Canyon Boot Cut (34.5″), Lou Lou Flare (35.5″), and Skyline Boot (34.5″). Also, online they offer the Skyline Boot Cut in Extra Long (36″ inch inseam).
Earnest Sewn: Harlan Skinny Jeans, Decca Straight Leg, Ginger High Rise Super Skinny, Zazo High Rise Slim Fit (34″) and Farrah High Rise Flare and Hefner High Rise Boot Cut (34.5″).
Siwy: They offer the Charlotte and Harley Slim Boot Cut Styles (34-35″), some washes of the Rose Skinny jean (34″), Penelope and Anita Flare Styles (35.5″).
7 For All Mankind: Original Boot Cut, Kaylie Slim Boot Cut, A Pocket Flare, Welt Pocket Flare, Dojo Flare (34.5″).
J Brand: 912 Low Rise Pencil Leg, 814 Mid-Rise Cigarette, 818 Mid-Rise Slim Boot, 1199 Janey (34″), 1197 Martini, 722 Love Story, 923 Babe, and 2298 Bianca (35″).
Hudson: Carly Straight leg, Beth Baby Boot and the Mia Flare with 34-35″ inseams, but their website also features a “Supermodel” section which has cuts with 36″ inseams.
Mother: The Runaway Flares, The Runaway Skinny Flares (34″) The Wilder Trouser (35″).
Joe’s: The Skinny (34″) and Boot Cut (34.5′).
Rag & Bone: Pencil leg, Cigarette, Boot (34″) and Bell Flares (35″).
Online
If designer jeans aren’t in your budget, it doesn’t mean you’re out of luck. While most mall brands don’t offer extended sizes in their brick and mortar stores, their websites do! Gap, J Crew and Banana Republic each offer jeans in tall sizes (34″) on their websites, American Eagle offers long (34″) and Extra Long (36″), and Alloy offer jeans with inseams up to (37″). Also, the website LongTallSally.com offers jeans with inseams from 34 all the way up to 38″!
