2 Ways to Wear the Joe’s Jeans Ankle Skinny in Silver

Metallic was a big trend for Fall, so why not show how they can work for Winter as well? I chose the Joe’s Ankle Skinny Jeans in Silver (click here to buy) for this styling post. These are a pair of jeans that are bold on their own, but when styled a certain way, you can either have them as the base of a look or as the stand out piece. You can see my cold weather ready looks below.

For the first look I went for a minimal approach by pairing them with neutrals so the jeans stand out. I styled them with the Topshop Borg Biker Jacket, T by Alexander Wang T Shirt, Bottega Veneta Belt, and Celine Sandals. I wanted to break up the look a bit with the red belt. That little pop of color keeps the upper body from looking like a marshmallow. Just like the belt, the sandals help the look as well. When there is this much lack of color going on at the top, a shoe like this helps keep the outfit look modern with its barely there style.

Silver is a color that I find works really well with neutrals, but when styled with the right colors and pieces, it can work as a base just like every other pair of jeans. For this look, I decided to pair the jeans with the J Brand Daria Shirt, a Topshop Puffer Vest, Marant Lazio Boots, and a Diesel Belt. I could not think of any other style denim shirt to pair with these pants. I think one that is patched with different shades and slightly oversized works best with the silver. I would suggest tucking the shirt in and roll the sleeves up as wearing it this way dresses down the smart aspect that silver jeans tend to give off.
