Press Preview: 7 For All Mankind Fall/Winter 2012

I recently had the opportunity to view 7 For All Mankind’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection and they have a lot of exciting things coming up. The collection has a variety of different styles, both a lot of new trends as well as releases of classic styles in new washes.

The collection featured a few different categories of trends, like a lot of different metallics, both in prints and solids. The best part of the metallics were that they were not stiff like other metallic jeans and very soft (see detail shot A). The metallic prints included my favorite pair of jeans from the collection, a snakeskin white pair (shot C)! Other prints include animal skin prints, as well as a textured jacquard print (Shot G).

On the more subtle side, they also had a few different coated styles. Most coated denim is a bit stiffer, but the fabric on these was absolutely incredible and so soft! They also come in a few different coats from a light sheen to more of an acid wash.

One of the most interesting things about this collection was the introduction of the slim illusion fabric. 7 For All Mankind developed a new super stretch and slimming fabric that is slimming without being too constricting. The fabric has a great stretch and will now be a staple of the line, both in newer styles as well as more classic cuts.

Overall, I was very impressed with the fall/winter 2012 collection! The individual details of the pieces make it really stand out and very unique. There are a ton a great styles for fall, as well as some that would be perfect to wear now, like those white snake print jeans!
