Press Day Preview: MiH Jeans Autumn/Winter 2012

Here are some photos from the MiH Jeans Autumn/Winter 2012 Press Day in London, England from late in March. Unfortunately, due to the schedule of other press events and MiH being quite far away, I wasn’t able to attend. Hopefully I can next time as I missed out on seeing the new collection pieces in person. I did however get these photos from the day directly from MiH so we can still see the new styles and how everything looked. I’ve also included some info on it from MiH below.

We’re inspired by the hazy cool sea this Autumn Winter. By northern beaches. Rough waves. The shore. A white out of ocean colours. The winter surfers. The endless horizon. Autumn-Winter 2012. Our girl finds confidence in simplicity. In creating her own style. The calm, raw, timeless feel of the sea. Of the clouds. Of the beach. The sharp cold northern light. The elements can be seen in a bleached out colour palette of winter whites, chalks and creams; mixed with dark neutrals – grey, chocolate, navy. Contrasting with deep hues of hunter green, teal and rose red, with the palest sea greens and soft pinks. The delicate intangible prettiness of the Seafoam print.

It’s inspired us to put the odd sportswear detail in the collection. The Surfer Tee. The Pinny Tee. Sporty yet delicate. Later you’ll throw on our layers of knitted Donegal wools. Or the Guernsey Jumper. The one you’ll never take off. We have confidence in cool vintage denims. The Jane. The Topanga. The Phoebe. Real denims. The new masculine/feminine. Directional denim. The Casablanca. The flare for flats. The Brighton Jean. The jean for when you want to wear a little black trouser; but in denim. Our icons come through. In the Silver Biker. Patti Smith. In the perfect long shirts and men’s inspired wool blazers. Lauren Hutton. Effortless. Luxury.
