7 For All Mankind and James Franco recently hosted an evening for Hollywood insiders for an exclusive screening of the film, The Death of Natalie Wood, which was Franco’s inspiration behind the Spring/Summer collection. Celebrities like Alexander Skarsgard and Ryan Phillippe were in attendance at the event, which was hosted at Chateau Marmont.
Earlier in the evening, guests were treated to a preview of Franco’s Rebel exhibition, sponsored by 7 For All Mankind, which was a homage to James Dean’s film, Rebel without A Cause. Artists like Terry Richardson, Ed Ruscha, Harmony Korine, Paul McCarthy, Damon McCarthy attended.
While the presentation of The Death of Natalie Wood marks the finale of the Spring/Summer 2012 collaboration between James Franco and 7 For All Mankind, Franco has signed on to shoot the Fall/Winter 2012 collection as well. As 7 FAM’s President, Barry Miguel commented, “James Franco has been a wonderful creative partner for our brand. His ability to capture fashion in a unique, premium and sophisticated way in unparalleled and we are thrilled to continue to support his artistic endeavors.”
