Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2012

Can Balenciaga get any cooler? It probably can as it does each season. Balenciaga is another brand that I have to look at the detail first before the actual look. The cuts, the texture, and the inspiration is always unique.

For this season it was inspired by something that doesn’t actually exist, well sort of, Balenciaga Inc. Nicolas Ghesquière came up with the concept of Balenciaga being a company in the 80′s and these being their uniforms. I think if this company was actual life, this would definitely be uniforms. It has that same drama in the clothing that was very relevant in that era. I can see Christina Applegate’s character in Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead swooning over these pieces.
