Cheap Monday Celebrates UK Store Opening

On 17th February Cheap Monday will open up the doors of its first UK stand-alone store. The celebrations will start before the official opening and continue throughout the month. As well as at the new store in 39 Carnaby Street, announcements will be made in Cheap Monday’s Concession Store at Selfridges and at other specially selected sites in the London area.

In connection with the store opening, Cheap Monday will take over the streets of London with jeans and a roving party bus. The party bus will be travelling between London Fashion Week’s hub, Somerset House and the Cheap Monday store, with spontaneous stops along the way. In East London and the area around Soho, early-rising Cheap Monday fans can find their favourite jeans on buildings and fences, and in the store in Carnaby Street there’ll be DJs playing throughout the opening weekend.

The opening of the Cheap Monday Store will take place in the middle of London Fashion Week and the brand catches the atmosphere with a pre-release of a few AW-12 jeans and accessories straight from the catwalk*.

In addition to the AW-12 products, a smaller edition of the much sought after SS-11 showpiece Clear Plastic Ankle Boot will be on sale together with a number of limited-edition t-shirts. Cheap Monday’s graphic designer has produced four prints, 50 of each to be available at the store opening.

There will be celebrations of the new store at Cheap Monday’s Concession Store in Selfridges too, where a number of AW-12 jeans, limited-edition t-shirts will also be on sale. Stops and times for the Cheap Monday party bus, info about bands and DJ’s, together with additional opening activities will be progressively released at www.facebook.com/cheapmonday. Sounds like fun doesn’t it?
