Press Day Preview: Diesel Spring/Summer 2012

I got the chance to go to the Diesel Headquarters in London two weeks ago to see all of their new styles and learn more about the new direction they are taking the ladies collection in. Here are some photos from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection for both men and women.

The men’s collection is exactly the same, they haven’t changed anything except they have some new styles and washes like they do every season. They did have some really pretty washes there though. The washes are always what entice me when it comes to Diesel. I find they are experts in getting a really amazing colour and depth to their jeans. Sometimes they can bring out the most beautiful wash ever while other times they have normal shades.

The ladies collection is completely different now. Like I mentioned last week, the line is going in a new direction. They are only having 5 different cuts, soon to be 6, and those cuts are coming in different washes. The labels are different, they are more plain and the jeans are less embellished and branded. They are aiming for more simplicity and femininity. The shoes are all heels and sandals now and they are even doing maxi dresses. It’s changed a lot.

It’s very scary so I hope it does well for them. Luckily the Diesel strip on the coin pocket will always stay there. I know the guys are very fond of Diesel so let me know if you have any questions about the collection, like jeans or washes, and I will try and help you out. I also saw the Autumn/Winter 2012 collection which is even more amazing! I can’t share that with you yet though.
