MiH has released a capsule collection exclusively with Shopbop, starring Ruby Aldridge as the model. The collection has a definite 70s style vibe and features exclusive styles both of Marrakesh shorts and the Kick Flares with contrasting waist details in white, dark and light washes. The collection also features a cropped style and five oversize blouses, which will be perfect for transitional pieces into spring.
MiH’s creative director, Chloe Lonsdale, explained about the aesthetic of the brand and how that carried over into the latest collaboration with Shopbop, “A lot of what we create at MiH stems back to my mum, Chekkie Maskell, who was the original muse for the brand in the late 60’s and 70’s. It seemed only natural to use her as the inspiration for the Shopbop.com Capsule Collection, as she was the perfect embodiment of the woman who would wear these styles the best; someone who was effortlessly cool with a natural sense of style.”
It even translated to the details, “We used an archive photograph of my mum as the anchor for this collection and even carried it through to the exclusive hangtags we created. The result is a collection of items that offer women a modern interpretation on vintage classics.” Lonsdale explained. You can browse the collection below and shop online at Shopbop.com.
