Protocycle is the denim capsule collection by Cycle, the Italian premium denim label known for its tradition, know-how and research background. Protocycle is a clear hint at prototypes; the denims are designed as one-of-a-kind items made using the best Japanese and Italian fabrics, exemplifying the ideal combination of pure craftsmanship and avant-garde processes.

Following a successful SS11 launch, the Protocycle collection for FW11 offers new combinations of fits and denims over a range of weights, washes, treatments and finishing where every single item is customised to the very last detail. Artisan at heart, and tailored to perfection, the collection is typified by distressed denim with an underlining effortless luxury. Fit models have been revisited in stretch fabrics and silhouettes, with high-waist cuts for women.

Even the packaging, like the Protocycle denims, has been treated with craftsmanship and attention to detail. Made from parchment paper with a wash-colour treatment specially created for the collection; its refined ‘stained’ effect is the result of a meticulous manual process where every layer of color is applied by hand, sheet after sheet; following which the paper is manually creased to enhance the distressed, retro look. All metal hardware, buttons and studs, are made of oxidized or silver plated iron combined with aged leather detailing. What do you think of the capsule collection?
