Cycle Denim Fall/Winter 2011

Italian premium denim label, Cycle, presents their AW11 womens collection entitled, ÔÇÿThe Great British Tour’. The collection is inspired by all that is quintessentially British – afternoon tea, punk rock and the iconic music festivals, from Glastonbury to the Isle of Wight. With that in mind, Cycle has created three themes to take you on the Great British Tour this season: TEA TIME, ROYAL PUNK, and CAMPING CONCERT.

ROYAL PUNK is a mix of black and metallic pieces highlighted with spots of coral red and white make up. Metallic knits and outerwear enriched with chains, studs, mirrors and crystals reflect the rebellious youth epitomising the punk movement. Pants are super skinny with a galvanised effect, in black, acid wash blues and coral red.

And then there’s ÔÇÿfestival cool’, the inspiration for CAMPING CONCERT. Brown, burgundy and camel tones make up the colour palette, replicating “mud” and are accentuated by royal blue and berry red. Highlights include boyfriend fit 5 pocket jeans, Navajo print capes with leather detailing and fur – recurring in waistcoats, jackets and hats – all must haves for festival chic.

TEA TIME features a palette of warm tones, mostly burgundy and camel, gently mixed with powder pink. Outerwear is mostly perfectly tailored with slim fits and silhouettes, while suede elbow patches underline an overall Victorian taste. Knitwear showcases checkered pattern wools and cashmere. Oversized t-shirts, silk dresses and blouses, and chinos complete the look, accesorised by pearls and beads applications to give a modern take on the British classics.
