Denim Review: Diesel Jogg Jeans

Diesel have brought out a brand new hybrid jean which just became available today called the Jogg Jean. I know Diesel are always experimenting with denim, bringing out extreme washes and ideas etc and their latest plan was to cross a jogging bottom/sweat pant with a pair of jeans, which created the Jogg Jean. They sent these to me last month so I could model them and be part of their website creation for the Jogg Jeans along with some other bloggers but I wasn’t allowed to post about them for a while. The website feature will be released in the beginning of August.

I was very unsure about these at first, I thought to myself, how can you cross a jogging bottom and a jean and actually make it wearable or look good? But they did. I was really suprised. Since I am shorter and not blessed with long legs, I decided to make these cropped and pulled them up to my calves and rolled over the waistband so the crotch wasn’t dropped as low and I think that makes them work a lot better for my body shape. The Jogg Jeans have a super high rise so if you wear them at your hips, the crotch falls at mid thigh or lower for the harem pant look.

I can’t say that these are the most flattering pair of Diesel jeans I have tried, because they are not, but I can say they are definitely the most comfiest pair I have ever ever tried. I can easily wear them all day around the house or I could even sleep in them, they are literally that soft and comfortable. This wash also reminds me a lot of the Dirty Thirty wash they brought out as a limited edition jean a long time ago, I’m not sure if you remember that jean but it’s quite similar with the little tadpole style holes and patches at the thigh.

The thing I find most intriguing about these jeans is trying to find clothes to pair them with. I don’t think they would look very good with heels or dressed up really girly and smart as they don’t have that look to them. I think the way to go is casual or quirky. They do run huge though, I am usually a 28 in Diesel and I took a 26 in these and they still fit loosely but that’s due to them also being crossed with a jogging bottom. I can definitely see a lot of people wearing these hybrid jeans, I think we will see a lot of unique outfits consisting of the Jogg Jeans! You can now buy these pants online at Diesel for £180.
