Here are some photos from the new Spring/Summer 2012 Diesel Black Gold collection. The new styles are a tale of modern nomadism, with inspirations from the real and hyper-real wanderings of its protagonist in a life of perpetual movement across situations and frontiers. It dives deeper into the brand’s DNA, emphasizing and expressing the nomad soul of this metropolitan hero: this season, the sea is his natural element and his language.
The garments stand for fluidity and freedom, paying homage to the world of navy. Holes and breaks mark the collections with traveling pains of everyday use. Re-adaptation and re-contextualization through dyeing and patchworks; constructed and functional apparel decorated and customized with floral and marine stitching-print-laser-stencil.
September 2011 will witness another milestone for the line: the opening of a new stand-alone store in NYC. Diesel Black Gold is also confirmed to host its runway show during the New York Fashion Week in September to present its SS’12 womenswear collection, designed by Sophia Kokosalaki. What do you think of the collection?
