That's a good rise, I think that's the best place to have the rise because it's more flattering on the butt. Being a size 24/25 like you are, you could definitely get away with a really low rise too, I'm sure :) The legs probably will stretch out a bit, it depends how much sitting and bending you will do :)

Thanks lorna! I tried the 25 and it had a bit of a gap in the waist but the rise felt a bit higher. So I went with the 24 that felt good at the waist but a bit more snug in the legs as all the girls said they would give. When I sit nothings hanging out I think its just I'm not that used to a low rise. I did read your review and I think mine fit like yours from the picture!!

Hi Christine! Did you read my review on the Houlihans? I find them to be pretty medium rise as I am used to lower rises than the Houlihan but I think they are around the perfect height when it comes to cargos, I'm sure they look fine on you too where they sit on the hips. They stretch out pretty much after one good wear but then they do go back to their original shape so they wont stay out baggy forever, they get smaller if you leave them unworn for a while :)

Hi there this is a question about the houlihans actually. How low on your hips do yours sit? just bought and they sit right at hip bone. maybe im not used to low rise but the sales reps all convinced me they looked fine. also how long until yours gave out a bit??
