Jessica Alba in Mama J by J Brand

Jessica Alba looked to be in good spirits as she took Honor Marie to Gymboree and then to Whole Foods in Los Angeles, California last weekend. We don’t really spot Jess in that many jeans anymore, or if we do, she covers them up with her maternity tops.

This time she chose to wear a pair of Mama J by J Brand 3412 maternity pencil leg jeans in Indigo for the day out with her daughter. It’s nice to see the celebs still rocking premium denim jeans in the maternity fits. Buy J Brand maternity jeans at J Brand online.

  1. Hi there this is a question about the houlihans actually. How low on your hips do yours sit? just bought and they sit right at hip bone. maybe im not used to low rise but the sales reps all convinced me they looked fine. also how long until yours gave out a bit??

  2. Hi Christine! Did you read my review on the Houlihans? I find them to be pretty medium rise as I am used to lower rises than the Houlihan but I think they are around the perfect height when it comes to cargos, I’m sure they look fine on you too where they sit on the hips. They stretch out pretty much after one good wear but then they do go back to their original shape so they wont stay out baggy forever, they get smaller if you leave them unworn for a while 🙂

  3. Thanks lorna! I tried the 25 and it had a bit of a gap in the waist but the rise felt a bit higher. So I went with the 24 that felt good at the waist but a bit more snug in the legs as all the girls said they would give. When I sit nothings hanging out I think its just I’m not that used to a low rise. I did read your review and I think mine fit like yours from the picture!!

  4. by the way this was my first premium denim purchase so it was a big deal!! as for the rise they are about 3 inches below my bellybutton.

  5. That’s a good rise, I think that’s the best place to have the rise because it’s more flattering on the butt. Being a size 24/25 like you are, you could definitely get away with a really low rise too, I’m sure 🙂 The legs probably will stretch out a bit, it depends how much sitting and bending you will do 🙂
