Trend Alert: The Cropped Flare
Cropped Flares were a trend that I didn’t think would get picked up by the masses, but I am happy it did. Stars like Jessica Alba, Elle Macpherson, and Kate Moss have all been spotted wearing these styles. The style is very laid-back for the day and easy to dress up for a night out. Brands such as Textile Elizabeth and James, Victoria Beckham, Genetic, True Religion, and of course the popular J Brand have all come out with styles in many washes.
Textile’s versions come with cut-off hems in medium blue washes. Victoria Beckham has styles in khaki and black that come with a mid-rise. Genetic combined two other trends for their version, lace-up and cut-off. The pair by True Religion come in their classic light-blue wash. Then there are the Gigis by J Brand which come in an array of colors. They come in a dark rinse, black, even some waxed styles in both black and brown. Which ones will you readers be rocking with your ankle boots and flats this spring? You can purchase these styles at both ShopBop and Net-a-Porter.

I wont be rocking any, I can’t stand the trend to be honest. I think it only works for people with really thin legs or really long legs, it’s not going to be a trend for everyone
I actually think it is really cute but I agree it is not for everyone, it will only suit certain body types and shoe choice will be important. Even then it will be tricky – if the crop height is just a little off it will look all wrong.
You are right about the length needing to be perfect as well Jen
