Chanel Couture Spring 2011

It is rare to spot denim at a couture if it is not at a Gaultier show. But Chanel of course is the one this season that would push the boundaries of couture during Fashion Week. For the Fall 2011 Couture collection Karl Lagerfeld featured denim and trousers in an array of pale shades with buttons going up the outseam. There were also some sequined and sheer pairs as well.

I like that these jeans, this season, are very embellished yet they have a simplicity about them. That is what Karl does best. He takes the outrageous and keeps them at that state, then makes it wearable with all the styling. You can check out some of the looks below.
