Russell Brand in Waxed Jeans

Russell Brand was spotted a couple of times wearing his distressed waxed jeans recently. He was first spotted (above) wearing them out in London as he made his way through the swarming paparazzi. He was then spotted a couple of days later wearing them at JFK Airport when he arrived in New York.

After waxing everything, I wonder if denim brands will start mocking other fabrics such as suede. I think something like a rib-less cord that is somewhat thicker than usual would be a great base to do that mock-up. What other fabrics would you readers like to be mocked with the comfort of denim?
