D&G Spring 2011

D&G is always one to show denim in their line. They also showed tons of color, something that New York was definitely lacking and florals was a huge fixture in the show this season. They had the print in many lively colors such as lime green, pinks, reds, and yellow. The denim pieces of the collection consisted of some super wide-leg high-waisted jeans, a denim apron dress, and a blazer as well as a bag. They also featured a jacket with some denim piping.

I think this collection just oozes Spring. It just looks so cheerful, fun and easy. I find the styling of the show to be kind of hilarious. It looks to be inspired by Italian wine stompers or maybe jam makers. It makes me think of an I Love Lucy episode and if you’ve seen the show, you know what I’m talking about.
