Denim Review: Levi’s Skinny Boyfriend Jeans In Cry Baby
So I thought for this weeks review, I would do something a little different and try a cut that I have never tried before. Levi’s sent these to me and I didn’t think I would like them at first as I haven’t really been a fan of the boyfriend skinny jeans but I was wrong! I have worn them about 6 times already and considering the amount of jeans I own, that’s a lot of times for me to wear a pair of jeans! Haha.
The fit of these jeans was something that surprised me actually, I always thought boyfriend skinny jeans would be really unflattering and more like carrot pants which I am definitely not a fan of, well at least I don’t think I am, I’ve never tried them but I imagine they would make my short legs even shorter. These Levi’s jeans are very roomy in the crotch area and the butt area which makes them incredibly comfy and easy to move in. That’s why I love them most for just running errands and going somewhere that I need comfort. They are also not too tight at the ankles which can make them look strangely out of proportion. The way these are cut is great and I am pretty sure, if I wanted to try this trend, I couldn’t have tried a better pair. This is also my first time trying Levi’s so I was quite happy to know I like them.
The wash is a very light medium wash, it’s got some very nice whiskering across the lap area and it’s got distressing patches on one of the knees, it definitely looks quite authentic, like an older pair of vintage Levi’s which have faded over the years. The denim is also very comfy! Since these are a sample I can’t actually tell you what they are made from as they have no tags, however they do feel stretchy and like a pure cotton denim so I would assume they have about 2% stretch to them and 98% cotton.
Speaking of Levi’s though, hopefully I am going to find a Curve ID jean that fits me! I tried the Demi curve and it was just a little too big in the legs and the Bold curve was no good at all as I don’t have that type of body shape. I haven’t tried the Slight curve but I know that one will be the one for me. I took the test on the Levi’s site and it matched me with that cut too so I can’t wait to review a pair of those for you!
