Levis to promote donation through care label

Come January 2010, the original denim maker, Levi’s will be promoting clothing donation. The retailer will be including a message on the product care tag, which will encourage people to donate their unwanted clothing. The new labels come after a collaboration with Goodwill stores, hoping to encourage donation to stores rather than throwing clothes away.

Levi’s CEO, John Anderson stated, “As a company built on values, we have long worked to promote sustainability in how we make our products and run our operations.”

The tags will make their debut in the United States in January 2010 and worldwide by fall 2010.
