Denim makers Michael Glasser and Joie Rucker will be launching an under $100 denim collection at Nordstrom stores. The collection will launch the first weekend on December.

The inspiration for the collection after Glasser met with Nordstrom executives and saw there was a need for a less expensive jean that still maintained quality. Glasser was up for the challenge of translating the standards of production from his work with Seven For All Mankind, to the Easy Money line. As he stated, “I didn’t realize the fabrics I’d be able to use would be that good, recalling the early days of premium denim when high-quality fabrics and those that incorporated stretch were primarily available from Japanese and Italian suppliers.

The lower cost fabrics will still maintain their fit and shape. “I think that some people really know what they’re doing in the denim fabric world and have been able to replicate the fabric of the premium market,” he said.

The line will feature five styles, including boot-cut, straight-leg, skinny and legging jeans, as well as a denim jacket, all retailing between $76 and $116.
