Original Fake & Levi’s Collaboration
Original Fake is an exclusive Japanese only label, they have been collaborating with Levi’s for 5 seasons now. Normally, buyers in the west have had to purchase these jeans from Japan, but now for the 1st time they are being sold exclusively in the UK from the Levi’s concept store Cinch – Newburgh and Selfridges – Oxford Street in limited numbers! When I say limited, I mean 48 pieces for London only! 24 pairs each of Selfridges and Cinch, so if you love these jeans you will have to act super fast!
There are three different fits – two styles based are on vintage Levi’s 501 Jeans and a third is a unique Cargo style, based on a silhouette from Original Fake’s mainline collection. The Levi’s 501 Jeans are styled on the iconic design from 1947 and 1955 and feature a customised zip fly.
All three styles, each with a unique ÔÇÿTooth’ accent colour of either fluorescent green, navy blue or red, are made of selvage 12oz indigo denim. The “Tooth Mark” is printed in red on the selvage, adding extra bite to the design when the pants are rolled up.
The Cargo is offered in pure rigid denim. The unique dark vintage finish of each pair of 501 jeans is inspired by KAWS’ own Levi’s Vintage Jeans and makes use of Levi’s finishing expertise.
The Levi’s X Original Fake capsule collection will be available from September 1st 2009.
