Jeans Going Green!

Can you guess whose butt this is in PRPS? »

It seems like everything is going “green”, including fashion. Some major labels have already started creating eco-friendly jeans, like Levi’s, who released a line using organic cotton. There has also been the emergence of lines that are taking steps towards becoming more environmentally friendly.

UJeans:

 Jeans Going Green!

UJeans creates jeans which focus on using sustainable cotton, environmentally friendly dyes, as well as reusable packaging. One of the greatest part of this company is that they create jeans for you. They are custom fit and styled for you to ensure that perfect fit. They offer denim for both men and women.

Loomstate:

 Jeans Going Green!

They’re a pretty well known brand who is actually releasing a line with Target. They were founded on the principles of using certified organic cotton as well as being socially and environmentally responsible in their production. Each pair of jeans is made from 100% certified organic cotton. They offer both men’s and women’s denim in a variety of styles, cuts and colors.

This brand is committed to using sustainable growth cotton, enzyme based dyes and packaging. In addition to being environmentally friendly, they also specialize in “made-to-measure” jeans for both men and women, to ensure that perfect fit!

Del Forte Denim:

 Jeans Going Green!

Del Forte also focuses on using organic cotton and works with the Sustainable Cotton Project which encourage farmers to grow organic cotton. In addition, they have also started Project Rejeaneration, which is a denim recycling program where you can send back your old jeans and they’ll recreate a different piece.

There are also a number of websites that sell Eco-Friendly jeans:

TheGreenloop.com

Evo.com

Shopevni.com

There are many more brands that I didn’t mention, since I tried to cover brands that were unique.

What are some of your favorite Eco-Friendly jeans?
