First there were leggings, then there were denim leggings, now there are leggings that look like jeans, thanks to Rock and Republic.

Their new Spring 2009 ready to wear collection featured pants, that upon first glance appear to be jeans but upon closer examination, they’re actually leggings! For women and men.

Some have even dubbed this look Trompe l’oeil denim!

Don’t worry, for all you Rock and Republic fans, they haven’t entirely abandoned their aesthetic. The collection also featured frilly dresses and tight, white skinnies.

Seven For All Mankind has decided to expand their high-waist styles by introducing the High Waist Bootcut, shown here in Chile wash. Say goodbye to muffin top, these will be perfect for hiding those flaws! Love this wash, too.

They’ve also decided to create an A-pocket for those of us who aren’t 5’10″! Introducing the Lexie A-pocket, made in particular for ladies under 5’4″. It’s shown here in Ellis Island wash, a lighter weight version of the popular Medium New York wash. Maybe this will get rid of the problem of whiskering in the wrong place (like on your calves instead of your knees!) for those of us who have to hem our jeans!
