Levi’s Has Gone Eco Chic

I’ve wondered in the past what the big deal about organic denim was, thinking to myself, denim is cotton, which is organic, right? But actually the processes by which denim is made is not very earth-friendly. Cotton accounts for only 3% of global crops, but uses between 15- 25% of the insecticides and pesticide. Yikes. Levi’s has the answer, their Recycled Levis Line lets us have our stylish denim while saving the earth!

Now, some styles of the regular Red Tab line, as well as the premium line, Levi’s Capital E Jeans, will be made with 100% organic cotton starting in November. The eco styles will cost a touch more than their regular pricing for the green jeans. Sounds well worth a small chunk of change if you are into being green!
