From the latest People Style Watch - have you heard of Zakkerz? I think the concept is great, if the Zakkerz could be placed on the inside of the jeans where it doesn’t show…anyone tried these yet?

We are often asked about appropriate attire for “casual Fridays” at the office. It’s quite simple: keep things smart casual. This is the easiest way to tone down the formality but maintain a professional look in your favorite pair of jeans! Here are the components in more detail:
Smart jeans or denim skirt: Darker blue jeans look dressier. Trouser cut denim styles are also great (grey and black are other colors to consider). No rips or fading for the office! Major no-no! A great look is this pair from Citizens of Humanity, shown above.
Dressy top: Girly ruffled tops, button down tops or collared shirts and tunics are appropriate for the office. No t-shirts! You’ll want to look professional when you take off your jacket, so the dressier the top, the more sophisticated you’ll look.
Jacket: Layer a structured jacket over your top when it starts to get chilly, or when you need to look extra professional for that business meeting.
Trench coat or coat: You’ll want something warmer than a structured jacket in Winter, so pop on a trench or coat instead of a jacket as it gets colder. Add a dressy scarf and gloves as temperatures begin to plummet.
Shoes: Wearing dressy shoes is key. They can be heeled or flat, but not casual - the casual part of your outfit is the denim - keep the rest slightly dressier. We prefer high heels, peep toes or knee-high boots are a good choice for denim skirts.
Handbag: Grab a handbag that completes your look to finish the outfit. Also accessories like a pretty necklace or glasses can up your “smart casual” look.
You can tweak this look to be slightly funkier if your office allows it by wearing a longer tunic over jeans, tucking skinnies into dressy boots or adding a dramatic belt to a looser top. Now get creative and you’ll always look effortlessly stylish.
Okay, not to sound like a snob, but when I think of Wrangler, I think of $14.94 at Walmart and no way would I or anyone I am related to be caught dead in them. Maybe that was just a little snobby…anywho… I know that some brands, like Levi’s, are hot in other countries and are selling higher than they do here. Then I saw this ad, from Germany.
49.99 Euros = appx. $79 USD!
Omg! I’d hate to see what designer denim goes for over there!
Celebs are being spotted more and more in Juicy jeans lately it seems. Are they making a comeback? Here’s Courtney Cox in West Hollywood on June 30th in her Juicy’s.

What do you get when you put together some white gold buttons, an opulent magnitude of Swarovski crystals, a few diamonds for good measure? Oh I forgot to mention some premium denim! $10,000 jeans is what you get!
The Key Closet jeans premiered on June 26 at the Runway Magazine “Summer Splash” Fashion Show in LA at Boulevard 3.
I knew the cost of jeans was rising over the years but I think this is a bit much. I mean where do you wear $10,000 jeans too exactly, even if you are a celeb? I would think only to an MTV Awards show or a concert if you are a rock star perhaps! I suppose they wanted to make a pair of jeans with a price line that is unsurpassable.
“We are extremely proud of our $10,000 Jeans,” says Key Closet founder Michael Hong. “Our design team has created a true work of art that will appeal to those who create trends rather than follow them.” Thirty percent of the profits from the sale of the $10,000 Jeans will be donated to help build a primary schools for children in Kampala, Uganda, which is a great way of making sure you don’t fell guilty for dropping ten grand on a pair of jeans.
These jeans have buttons made of white gold on the back pockets. They are covered in more than 1,000 Tiffany-set Swarovski crystals on each pair, plus hand-drawn designs and one-carat diamonds on each back pocket. That’s 2 KARATS of diamonds on your JEANS. Bangin’ Booty Bling…Did I just say BOOTY BLING?
So are you the loaded individual ready to build a school in Uganda? Also, who do you say will be the first celeb to where these with intentions of good press and helping build schools…..Madonna? Angelina Jolie or maybe Cameron Diaz or Drew Barrymore?
Personally, I’ll keep my $10K and grab a bedazzler if I get the sudden desire to wear such bling on my booty!

I hate Tila Tequila and I didn’t watch her reality show wherein apparently guys and girls competed for her heart, but apparently this chick won, which makes her somewhat of an instant celebrity. Her name is Kristy Morgan and I guess Tila likes her…or something. What do we think of her high waisted denim shorts? I know this was hot last season but I’m not sure if I’d still wear these now…jeans are one thing but are high waisted shorts still wearable? What do you think?

Don’t call it a redneck sport - these boys wrestle in their designer denim! WWE wrestlers Batista and Edge sported their jeans on Monday Night Raw. Edge had on Rock & Republics and Batista is wearing True Religion. It warms a denim lovers heart when her guy even recognizes pocket designs on TV and tells her she should blog about it! I gotta say, I much prefer jeans on these boys instead of those ugly wrestling shorts.

Interesting! This is the seame process that raw denim goes through basically, but with these someone else does the breaking in for you. Hmm…would you buy these? I guess my question would be, have they been washed before I receive them? A.P.C’s Butler jeans are upcoming this season…
From Racked.com:
Genius or gross: A.P.C. is releasing a line of denim called “Butler Worn Out” that have that perfectly broken-in look…because the brand had someone actually wear the pants in before they were sold. So you can keep tabs on who’s shared the crotch space of your pants, the name (or initials - it’s unclear at present) of the person that wore them before you will be written inside the jeans. What’s next—pit-stained tees at Barneys?

Sheryl Crow is set to launch her own denim fashion line this Summer. Sheryl will debut western/folked inspired new line Bootheel Trading Co in June. “I’ve always been kind of a jeans girl,” the singer says.
“I want to be able to provide a cool look for anybody, but particularly for those gals out there that have a fashion sense and want to feel good but can’t afford to buy the really high-end stuff.”
The twenty-seven piece collection has been developed by Sheryl’s personal stylist and inspired from pieces from the star’s own wardrobe. Retail prices range from $58 to $62 for bottoms, and $24 to $35 for tops.”
