Your perfect custom fit jeans: Indi Denim

Have you heard about the new custom jeans brand that makes shopping for the perfect pair of jeans a lot easier? At Indi Denim, men and women can design their own pair of jeans choosing from literally hundreds of possible style variations and customers are also asked a few simple body shape questions to enable Indi to custom fit each design and create a truly one-of-a-kind jean for each customer. This summer, they will also be launching a new Men’s low rise jean, Women’s trouser jean, and additional finishing options.
They claim to solve the problem of spending hours in the dressing room trying to find your perfect pair, and you can be your own designer. My first thought was, what if you design them online and they arrive and don’t fit? No problem, according to their website – they will take them back and correct the problem or you can return them if you are not 100% satisfied. Worth a try, right?! Has anyone ever ordered custom jeans before?
Celebs in Denim: Britney Spears in William Rast

Perhaps instead of “Celebs in Denim”, we should start titling posts “Celebs who don’t Hem”. As we’ve asked time and time again, why do these multi-million dollar celebs insist on walking on their jeans, or doing this, ala Britney, above. Arrrrgh. Even safety pins would look better! Anyway, here’s Britney in her William Rast jeans. *Sigh*. She’s got the right clothes, she just doesn’t know how to wear them. Where is her stylist?!

Diesel to acquire Superfine Jeans?

This could be interesting!
Is Diesel’s Renzo Rosso on the prowl again?
Word on the street is that Rosso is in talks to acquire Superfine Jeans, the hot London-based premium denim brand, founded in 2003 by Lucy Pinter and Flora Evans. Superfine has become well known for its directional silhouettes and popularity amongst the global style A-list, including Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen and Mary-Kate Olsen.
While Mr. Rosso has been acquisitive in the past, he has tended to focus more on the fashion end of things, acquring stakes in Maison Martin Margiela, DSquared2, and most recently, Sophia Kokosalaki, through Diesel’s Staff International subsidiary.
That Mr. Rosso is reportedly looking to acquire another denim brand may suggest that Diesel, which now ranks amongst the best-known jeans labels in the world, is looking for something more edgy and sophisticated to add to its jeans stable to compete with the likes of cult Swedish label Acne and 18th Amendment and Ksubi of Australia.
This is a smart move. With Rosso’s manufacturing, marketing and distribution capabilities, Superfine could be supercharged into a global denim brand in its own right — but by then, I guess Rosso will be on the hunt again.
